808 Scene 02:40
Just another day, Day in the 808 scene People come, Join together as one No one leaves because no ones getting hurt This is a crowd, Not a war Chorus- Whoa oh oh oh oh In The 808 (Josh 86)-As a kid in the country, I never liked the bros Luckily the country had some punk rock shows I saw S.R.S., The Sticklers, and Unit 101 Knumbskulls, Mistermeaner, and Family Fun My friend told me she was dancing at a show Some guy punched her in the face man Broke her nose and I said, “Fuck that man!” All I know is unity and I said “Woo-oh…” (Josh 86) So many bands I always love to see They shape my youth and my ideology With unity and respect and never with hate Big respect down for the 808 Once upon a time we came together It didn’t matter, cause we were together yeah All the bands that we loved and all the shows that blew our minds The times were fast and they’re still going…yeah

When I wake up in the morning, my woman said you gotta get up My father said you ain’t no child, start living in the sunlight And give me a minute of your time Chorus 1- Of your time, of your time, give me a minute of your time In The Morning Time is a depressing thing, devalued the prettiest diamond ring Their words seemed to bettered me, now I know when to disagree well Chorus 2- Man you better get up, you ain’t no child Start living in the sunlight and give me, give me A minute of your time, of your time, give me a minute of your time In the morning….you say, you say what you wanna hear. In the morning

D.O. 02:43
D.O. died without a name, found his body tied in a bag And what they did with him, I do not know It’s a just another body found on the shore D.O. Dominic Oval, he had something to prove, He lost his conscience when he lost the truth D.O. His mama told him, “Don’t hang around with crooks, Carry on with your education boy, read them books” He gotta gun for his birthday, but his mama didn’t know D.O. So when you’re fucked like D.O., remember my friends It’s just life or death…GO….D.O.

Hold yourself to your word, but it keeps you down Better not let that mind go to waste We paid for education just to give you taste Well do you like it babe? Do you like it? C’mon baby, Do you like it? That’s what I thought Chorus- I don’t raise the white flag and No one is weaker than us and I’m not your weapon yeah You grab me by the horns, but you ain’t got me pinned This ain’t no corner division, it’s a full functional education system Do you look for a life to suffice? Or do you look for a way to make alright? Let’s go now
5.
I saw you a prisoner in his arms, he’s got that school boy charm Is he really that great? Does he make your heart wanna masturbate? Yeah, Well you two look real good together His background is the only that flaps your feathers You’ve forgotten your past cause the future moving too fast Chorus- Oh baby, it feels so right We have gotta hold each other more tight Until we choke on tung and that’s when we know we’re in love Oh in love L is Laborious and O is for Overbearing And V is Venial and E is for Everything and Anything you’ll ever say to me Well I like to drink and that’s just fine A pack and brew will do me right cause my peers control my mind

Julie Was An Anarchist, she lit some napalm in the oval office She gave up on reasons to carry out her suburban life A supporter to the cause that she carried out on her own There was a time where you had a nice face You had you own car and your own place But you’re drowning out now and your asking for forgiveness You live in an institution and your minds resolution Is to carry out your anarchy, Your anarchy Chorus- You’re shouting now, Whoa You’re a supporter to the cause that you, you carried out alone Shout back with a verbal attack and you’d stab your neighbors back And you’re demonstrating for a different crowd Well the doctors give ya pills and you put um in your mouth And you, haha, you mellow out Well look back at your life, Was it really that bad? Becoming a threat to the nation is a chance that I’ll never have Well you don’t know who you were, don’t know who you are You’re a threat to nation and infamous superstar
7.
Times are changing, Uncle Sam loves inflation He don’t give a shit about America’s kids That’s when I say myself, “We’ve reached the end of the line” Chorus- We’ve reached the end of the line Corporate America will leave you behind It’s written in the bible, “Avoid all greed” And this here bible runs our society But the corporations, they’ve found a loophole What do we mean when we say it’s the land of the free It’s propaganda from the greedy Your security creates your ego and right now I’ve had enough
8.
Every person I see is just a cretin, they all give dirty looks without no reason Well it transmits hostility, but I try to keep my integrity And when you’re surrounded by people with no flame Then I guess we all start to look the same yeah Chorus- Cretin Crossover, when everything is just a matter of fact And all our ideas are seen as white and black No difference is made, no voices are heard And when you think you’ve seen it all, been 20 years since last enthralled The cretins will crawl, the cretins take over The Cretin Crossover Every person I meet is so jaded They all speak their mind, but cannot be persuaded Well they’re always in a fucking rush And they’ll never pay attention to ya much And when you surrounded by people with a frown Then every day is gonna bring you down yeah

Hate Against 03:12
I went to china town and I saw a moke’s eyes full of hate And I can’t change my fate, I was born into my race And I can’t believe the words I hear, and the racism is very clear And I know I cannot change, the tables have been rearranged Chorus- Hate against the white man And I did not steal your islands, and I did not provoke you with violence And I know without a doubt that what I’m talking bout Is being demonstrated daily to the fullest amount And the people that you see that represent bigotry Are the white man from another century And since I have no say on what you speak I said, “My acceptance is subjected before we meet.”
10.
There’s something going on inside There’s something that fills the people with pride Some hope coming forth, but no opportunities at the door You keep your mouth open, but your fate is shut Chorus- There’s problems in the nation, keep moving forward You can’t stand the people who are different than you You wanna feel comfortable You cant wait to see, the white supremacy So you can feel comfortable No pulses in their bodies, disrupting their tranquil bodies But none will claim our demise That racist undercurrent, big bellied and ultra blurry But none will claim our demise That smile that you wear on your face is so naïve to the perils that we face But you admit no demise You’re on guard like a defense attorney Always stressing and getting worried But you admit no demise

I Tried 01:52
I can’t move on, I got too much on my mind With all the lonely nights and empty smiles Well I say, “Look at me. Do you think I’m happy?” I’ll fake laugh and shut my eyes and I’ll struggle through the night Then I’ll say Chorus- I Tried, I Tried, I Tried To Survive This has been going on too long With all the pills in my system you know there’s something wrong And I say, “I put my hands on something great” But I lost my will to motivate and then I’ll say
12.

about

The lyrics in "Cretin Crossover" cover a range of subjects. The beginning of the album starts off with a song about the local music in Honolulu and how people should look out for one another. Then from there the categories really go in all directions, there are songs that talk about not wanting to be a cog in the system, overcoming struggle, infatuation, making the best of you have, unity, equality in all forms, racism in Hawaii, not wanting to wake up in the morning, murder, and the lack of compassion in some aspects of society.
